To facilitate engaging, impactful, best-in-class live online (aka, virtual) courses, you want to focus your attention on: 1) delivering your content, and 2) listening and responding to your learners’ comments and questions. Some people call this role “Producer” or “Moderator” but we call it “EXPERIENCE MODERATOR” because the ultimate goal is to provide a great experience for your learners so they stay fully engaged and keep coming back for more.

You are new to facilitating a virtual course, or you have been trying to do it solo for a while and now you realize that to smoothly execute an engaging session you need to offload the management of the tech – breakout rooms, polls, screen annotation, file drops, and audio/video troubleshooting – to someone else: an Experience Moderator. But you have questions…how to use the platform’s tools to achieve a high level of engagement; what tasks should and should not be delegated to your Experience Moderator; how to equip your Experience Moderator so they clearly understand the flow of the session. With 400+ sessions of experience, Gregg has the answers.
Experience Moderator Training
You already know who you want as your Experience Moderator. You have good chemistry with them, your learners will enjoy their personality, and they aren’t afraid of technology. But they just need some basic training to feel confident operating the tools on the specific virtual meeting platform (Zoom® meetings, Microsoft Teams® meetings, or Webex® meetings) as well as understanding the art of providing effective support to their Facilitator.
Experience Moderating
